Maltech Africa Business Consultancy & Advisory Services (also operating under the related names Maltech-Africa Business Solutions and Mutara Africa Link Technologies (Maltech-Africa)) is committed to protecting the personal information of our clients, partners, and website visitors in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 ("PAIA").

As a compliance and business advisory firm, we hold ourselves to the same standard we help our clients meet.

Information Officer

In terms of Section 55(2) of POPIA, we have registered our Information Officer with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Any queries, requests, or complaints regarding how we process your personal information, or requests for access to records under PAIA, should be directed to the Information Officer at info@maltechafrica.co.za.

POPIA Privacy Notice

What information we collect

Depending on the service you engage us for (business registration, compliance advisory, work permit and visa facilitation, business setup, or related consultancy services), we may collect:

• Identification details (name, ID/passport number, contact details)

• Company and business registration information

• Financial information relevant to invoicing and service delivery

• Immigration and employment-related documentation (for visa/work permit services)

• Website usage data (via cookies/analytics, where applicable)

Why we collect it

We process personal information strictly for the purposes of:

• Delivering the business consultancy, compliance, and facilitation services you have requested

• Meeting our own legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations

• Communicating with you about your engagement with us

• Improving our services

We do not sell or trade personal information, and we do not use it for purposes beyond what it was collected for without your consent.

How we protect it

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, interference, or disclosure, in line with the security safeguard conditions of POPIA.

Sharing with third parties

Where a service requires us to share information with a regulator, government department, or partner organisation (for example, SAQA, Department of Labour, Department of Home Affairs, CIPC, or the Information Regulator), we do so only to the extent necessary to deliver the service you have engaged us for.

Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to:

• Be informed that your personal information is being collected

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Request correction or deletion of your personal information

• Object to the processing of your personal information

• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law.

Direct marketing

We will only contact you for marketing purposes if you have opted in, or where you are an existing client being informed of similar services, in line with Section 69 of POPIA. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

PAIA Manual

In terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, Maltech Africa Business Consultancy & Advisory Services makes available a manual describing the categories of records held by the company and the procedure for requesting access to those records.

Requesting access to records

Requests for access to records held by Maltech Africa must be made in writing using the prescribed Form 2 (Request for Access to Record), addressed to the Information Officer, and may include:

• Personal records relating to yourself

• Records relating to services rendered to you

• Other records not otherwise exempt under PAIA

Fees

A prescribed request fee and, where applicable, access fees (per the PAIA regulations) may apply, and will be communicated to you upon receipt of your request.

Response timeframe

We will respond to valid requests within the timeframes prescribed by PAIA (generally 30 days, subject to extension in specified circumstances).
