Trade, Invest & Regulatory Enablement (TIRE)

Where Government Facilitation Ends, We Continue

InvestSA and ZIDA do real, useful work. If you're an investor or entrepreneur looking to enter South Africa or Zimbabwe, they're often your first stop — and they should be. The gap isn't in what they do. It's in what happens after.

The introduction isn't the finish line

Government facilitation agencies are built to get you in the door: information, introductions, initial guidance on regulatory pathways. That's valuable, and it's also where their mandate typically ends. What happens after the introduction — the actual work of registering, structuring, partnering, and operating — is where a lot of investors find themselves without a guide.

That's the gap Maltech-Africa's Trade, Investment and Regulatory Enablement (TIRE) unit is built to fill. Not as a replacement for InvestSA or ZIDA, but as the continuation of what they start.

What "staying with you" actually means

TIRE's Stakeholder & Partnership Facilitation function sits alongside Investment Advisory, and covers a wide practical scope: visa and regulatory facilitation, investment mission facilitation including travel itineraries, introductions to business organisations and service providers, connections to private and public sector stakeholders, a dedicated account manager for your investor roadmap, joint venture and BEE partner matching, plant or site location guidance, finance and incentives support, relocation logistics, business linkages with local and foreign companies, post-investment problem solving, and ongoing aftercare, retention and expansion support once you're operating.

Some clients need one or two of these. Others need the full sequence from first contact through to running operations. Both are available — individually or as a complete package.

Two other units, working alongside TIRE

Macro-Business Intelligence (MBI) — the market-level view: sector data, trends, and intelligence that inform where and how to enter.

Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) — the follow-through once you're established: keeping your business growing and rooted, not just launched.

Together, MBI, TIRE, and BRE cover the full arc — understanding the market, entering it, and staying successfully once you're in.

Who this is for

Investors and tenderers looking to enter agriculture and agro-processing, mining and minerals, trade and logistics, tourism and hospitality, ICT and digital services, manufacturing, or infrastructure and construction across the SADC region. If you're looking at government tenders or considering approaching ZIDA directly, it's worth knowing there's a facilitation option that stays engaged well past the point where the introduction was made.

Unlike government facilitation services, we stay with you — from introduction through to operation.
